Hotel in the Bay of 'Arcachon

Cap Ferret is a holiday destination unlike any other.

It benefits from an unspoilt environment that is protected from unrestrained tourist development. Our hotel is located on the southern coast of the Lège-Cap-Ferret peninsula, protecting it from the winds blowing in off the Atlantic and offering spectacular views as far as the eye can see.

The bay extends to the horizon, the islands that look like Polynesian atolls, Dune de Pilat, the Arguin sandbank, the endless pine forests… end of the world atmospheres to explore amidst the constantly changing light and dancing shadows.

Each year returning visitors are delighted to rediscover the vibrant colours of the oyster huts, the light and sea spray that is so unique to this place, the laid-back approach to life and the pleasure and joy of spending time with family and friends enjoying a tasty picnic or a delicious seafood platter.

Beach games, stretching out on the hot sand, bike rides, strolling around the market - activities that quite simply make you happy.

Hotel Côté Sable**** makes it possible for you to enjoy holidays that are authentic, uncomplicated and luxurious in a delightful setting that you will fall head over heels for.

Of course, you can simply stroll along the ocean, lulled by the surf and the cry the seagulls. Hôtel Côté Sable**** also has electric bikes available for you to rent if that’s what you fancy.

If you'd like to discover the unspoilt nature of the peninsula, you can take a fun walk along the "Abécédaire des dunes" trail. It takes you from the entrance to Cap Ferret to the Pointe de la presqu'île. In summer, you can also take a guided tour with the LPO to discover the biodiversity and history of the dunes in a different way.

Need to gain a bit of height? If you're feeling brave, take up a challenge: climb to the top of the Cap Ferret lighthouse as fast as you can. From the top of its 57 metres, you'll be able to admire a superb panorama of the whole bay. The lighthouse evenings (19-20 August) invite you to visit the lighthouse by night, an original way to discover this emblematic lookout point.

Dune du Pilat

Whether you write it as Pilat or Pyla, the dune is the star of the bay and the highest dune in Europe, with 60 million m3 of sand. Born of the wind and the ocean, it is renowned for its exceptional size, beauty and the diversity of its natural environment. Labelled a "Grand Site de France", the Dune du Pilat is located at the entrance to the Bay of Arcachon. From our hotel in Cap Ferret, you'll have the privilege of looking straight at it and admiring it at your leisure. !

Climb the staircase with its 154 steps or pluck up your courage with your feet in the sand. Whichever way you get to the top, the view will leave you speechless! The panorama of the ocean, the inland sea of the Bay of Arcachon, the islands and the Landes forest is unforgettably beautiful..

Bordeaux is, of course, at the centre of the world's largest and most exceptionally rich vineyard for fine wines (60 AOPs, over 5,000 châteaux, 40 cooperative wine cellars, 300 wine merchants, etc.). The Cité du Vin, the only one of its kind in the world, boasts 13,350 m² extending over 10 levels and offering an immersive voyage of discovery into the world of wine. Close to the Atlantic Ocean, it is an ideal holiday destination. The Bay of Arcachon and Cap Ferret are just an hour away...
